When you order: your name, email, shipping address, phone number if you give one, and the contents of your order. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor — we never receive them.
When you browse: standard technical data such as your IP address, browser, and which pages you viewed, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
When you subscribe: your email address, until you unsubscribe.

Why we use it

To process, ship and support your order — this is the core reason, and we can't fulfil an order without it
To answer your messages
To detect and prevent fraud
To send marketing email, only if you opted in, and only until you opt out
To understand how the store is used, in aggregate

Who we share it with

Only with the parties that make the order happen: our ecommerce platform (Shopify), the supplier who ships your item, the carrier who delivers it, and our payment processor. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@thicketandtail.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message. You can control cookies in your browser and through the cookie banner on this site.
